Fractional CTO leadership, without a full-time hire.
I step in as your CTO for as long as you need: a few hours a month, a couple of days a week, or full-time through a transition. Technical leadership, with an eye on the business it has to serve.
Leadership shaped around where you are.
Every company needs something slightly different. These are the most common ways I work with founders and leadership teams.
Fractional CTO
Ongoing technology leadership, typically one to two days a week. Strategy, architecture decisions, team leadership and a seat at the leadership table.
Interim CTO
Full-time cover through a CTO departure, a restructuring or an acquisition, until the right successor is in place.
Advisory CTO
A few hours a month, or support around one big decision: a platform choice, a rebuild, a major hire or a board question.
Founder & CTO transitions
When a technical founder steps out, I map what is there, document it, clean up the mess and remove the dependency on a single person.
Hiring your tech team
Defining the roles you actually need, running interviews and onboarding your next CTO or engineering lead.
Technology spend
Infrastructure, vendors and team time matched to revenue, so technology drives profit instead of eating it.
Fractional, interim or advisory: which one fits?
Every engagement is scoped and priced per project. The intro call is where we work out which option fits.

Fractional CTO, explained.
What is a fractional CTO?
A fractional CTO is an experienced technology leader who works with your company part-time. You get the same senior judgment as a full-time CTO, sized to what your business needs today.
What is the difference between a fractional and an interim CTO?
A fractional CTO works part-time over a longer period. An interim CTO steps in near full-time for a few months, usually to cover a departure or lead a transition until a permanent hire is in place.
Do we actually need a CTO?
Not always. Some companies need a strong engineering lead, some need a few hours of advice a month, and some need a CTO now. Working out which one you need is often the first thing we do.
Our technical founder is leaving. Where do we start?
With a clear picture of what exists: the systems, the knowledge and the people who hold it. I document it, stabilise what needs stabilising and remove the dependency on any single person, so the company can keep moving while you find the right successor.
How is it priced?
Every engagement is scoped and priced per project, depending on the commitment and the work involved. We agree it after the intro call, once we both know what you need.

Have a technology decision worth discussing?
Every engagement is scoped and priced to the case. A 15-minute intro call is the quickest way to find out what yours needs, and whether deeper work is worth it.
